This June, I'm taking part in The Big Bold Walk to support breast cancer research and save lives.
I'm participating not only to raise funds for research, but in honour of 3 amazing women in my life who have been impacted by this disease and knowing the personal stories is why I didn't hesitate to sign up.
Angie, Kylie and my Aunty Jan are phenomenal women who I have always been in awe of for their courageous battles they faced with their individual diagnoses.
Thankfully they were all treated early so I am still blessed to have them in my life, but I saw first-hand the impact that it had on each of them emotionally and physically.
I am so grateful to have them in my life, because I love them dearly and it also acts as a reminder of how quickly your life can change with a frightening health diagnosis!
So please make sure to do those personal checks, get mammograms on time and if something doesn't feel right, don't ignore it.
I'll be walking to raise funds for Breast Cancer Trials to find new and better treatments and prevention strategies for every person affected by breast cancer to save lives today, tomorrow and forever.
