Support my walk for breast cancer to help save lives.

Seven weeks from now, it will be two years ago that I was diagnosed most unexpectedly with breast cancer.  I had a lumpectomy, radiotherapy, an MRI at 12 months, ongoing hormone therapy and now annual contrast mammograms going forward.  None of us think we’ll be diagnosed with breast cancer but breast cancer is not discerning:  It happens to our grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughters, friends - and it happened to me.

In Australia alone approximately 56 people are diagnosed every day.  It’s estimated that over 20,300 new cases are diagnosed annually, with a lifetime risk of 1 in 7 for women and 1 in 612 for men.

This June, I'm taking part in The Big Bold Walk and will be walking 100km to help Australians impacted by breast cancer. My goal is to raise funds to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives today, tomorrow and forever.  To make a donation, simply visit my personal fundraising page below:
