Between us, we have walked over 500 kms and we managed over $5,000 raised for Breast Cancer Trials.

We are BEYOND grateful for the support and love - from the bottom of our hearts: THANK YOU!

We are proud of what we have achieved. This surpasses our expectation by miles.

We are saddened that all this is too late for our dear friend Yenni, but Her Song Lives On and we truly hope that this contribution does make a difference in giving the rest of us a better fighting chance.

On Day 18 of The Big Bold Walk, Her Song Lives ON achieved our fundraising goal of $3,689!

Day 17/30

We are past the halfway point of The Big Bold Walk. We have walked 316 out of 450kms, and only $20 to go to our fundraising goal!

We have enjoyed the company and the chats so far - and looking forward to seeing more of you lacing up the shoes!

Smashing goals

Thank you to our generous donors who have been supporting us in this challenge.

Today (Day 12) we made it to #13 on the Big Bold Wall and we thought... let's up the ante!

We raised our fundraising goal today to $3689 - Yenni passed away at the age of 36 (born in '89).

Day 11 of 30

Woke up this morning and mind-blown by the generous support poured into this fundraising effort.

We raised our fundraising goal twice before, and our donors still managed to smash it out of the park!

Her Song Lives On made it to number 16 on the team leaderboard Big Bold Wall.

Team Walk

We finally managed to get together and walk as a team (and rock our pink t-shirts) on the weekend.

We rewarded ourselves with some yummy falafels afterwards 🩷

Overwhelming Support 🩷

OMG - Thank you everyone for your overwhelming support!

From words of encouragement, to offers of walk catch-ups, to generous donations... we are speechless!

We knew we wanted to do this fundraising but didn't know how quite know how to do it and how well we'd go.  

But here we are in May (with 0 kms logged) and we already raised our fundraising goal once, and we made it to the leaderboard!

And then there were three

Tonight we went out on our “mums night out” for the first time without Yenni. We went to a Sri Lankan restaurant that was on Yenni’s list to try. She had picked this place but we never had the chance to go together. So tonight we did so in her honour. Food was amazing and she was sorely missed 💔

Her Song Lives On

We are three friends walking through the raw, disorienting grief of losing our beloved friend Yenni to breast cancer in February 2026. Her passing left a silence in our lives that we’re still learning to navigate, and this fundraiser has become one of the ways we’re trying to turn that ache into something meaningful.

Yenni was pure joy in human form. She loved food with the enthusiasm of someone who believed every meal was a celebration. This friendship circle that started during Covid lockdowns over shared love for food and homesickness turned out to be a life changing one.

We chose the name Her Song Lives On because that’s exactly how we feel: even though she’s gone, the melody she brought into our lives hasn’t stopped. It echoes in our memories, in our laughter, and now, in this effort to support others facing the same fight she did.

We’re fundraising in her honor - because grief needs somewhere to go, and we want ours to go toward hope, toward research, and toward helping other families hold onto the people they love.

This is for her.
This is because of her.
And this is how her song continues.
