My Story

I was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer just four 4 days before Christmas in 2021. 17 months of treatment followed - chemo, surgery, radiation and targeted treatments. Cancer treatment is gruelling, it takes a  big toll on the body and I am still managing ongoing side effects. I have found that water based exercise has made a big difference to how and I feel and has helped to manage the side effects.  I am taking part in the Big Bold Swim to raise money to help eradicate breast cancer and to motivate myself  to continue my swimming and other water based exercise.
