Thanks for visiting my page, I'm taking part in The Big Bold Swim to support breast cancer research.
56 people are diagnosed with Breast Cancer every day. I was diagnosed at just 37. I learnt first hand that research still has a long way to go. My diagnosis took almost a year due to my age, and lack of family history.
I'm swimming to raise funds for Breast Cancer Trials to find new and better treatments and prevention strategies for every person affected by breast cancer, especially young women, who tragically slip though the cracks. Catching it early enough in young women is more cruicial, because it tends to be more aggressive .
