This is incredibly personal, in November 2024 we lost our Mother, Nancy June Chester to Triple Negative Breast Cancer. One of the most aggressive and hardest to treat. She would often say that cancer was not a journey but a nightmare....what with the sickness, the fatigue, insomnia, the side effect of the medication and the list goes on. She was so stoic and strong right to the end when the disease could not be controlled anymore, but what if there was a world where your family did not have to go through this....so this swim is for you Nancy June, it is all I can do now, for her, and for all those that have been impacted by breast cancer.
We're swimming to raise funds for Breast Cancer Trials to find new and better treatments and prevention strategies for every person affected by breast cancer to save lives today, tomorrow and forever.
